I don't think it does. He's been honest and given up an insight into the constraints he's working under. If anything I felt sorry for him. He'll be judged on results but he hasn't got the tools to do the job.
It's a little disappointing that the actual reason why they aren't available isn't outlined in that article (even if just appended in there by his direct quote). You have to get the real reason from outside of the official club website. Which seems a little odd.
No idea SD. All I've seen is suggestions on here that one or both have visa problems and the manager hasn't specifically said why they're not ready to play.
