And saved a penalty to boot.... "One leg.. He's only got one leg" Edit Actually I have that incorrect. He pulled off a string of saves, despite hobbling around. The penalty I was thinking about was against Preston. The song can remain though in my comment
Werent arsenal sniffing,a may av heard a rumour in a pub, muller blamed us for not getting his big move because he wouldnt have been out as long, never heard wether he recovered frm that.
My understanding with the 2 new lads is not a question of if they`re fit or not, I think after Bolton the gaffer said they`re learning the system he want`s to play and doesn`t think it`s fair on them by including them when they don`t know what he wants from them fully. On Morris, watched on iFollow and I think it`s actually the way he landed on his knee that caused the issue, not the challenge itself.
I was right behind the incident in the west stand and I said to my dad striaght away there was minimal contact and it looked like he tried to buy the free kick (which we see a lot nowadays) turns out hes injured himself doing so. Not good.
It did as it was Sheaf’s 2nd cynical foul within about a minute which ref should have booked him for.
If they came from abroad, did they need to isolate for two weeks? - which will have cost them in terms of their fitness and take them around 4 weeks of training to get back to full speed...
What a goalkeeper he was. Criminally underrated. Looking back, I feel really privileged that we had him at the club and I got to watch him. Makes you wonder why he never really hit the highest heights, but I suppose that's just life and how football is sometimes.
They might have had to isolate but surely the club would have made sure they had a fitness regime and not just expect them to sit watching TV eating fish and chips. (Other take aways are available)
The news from the club was that a scan is planned today - I guess once the scan has been done we will have a better idea
