Question about loans

    If you take a player on loan for a season and he gets injured, do you still pay his wages when he isn't playing or does his club do that?

    I guess it depends on if he’s returned to the owning club. But the loan contract should cover the detail.

    I could only guess, but I think the loaning club usually covers short term knocks, longer term injuries, the owning club would want their own medical team to look after their assets.

    Sensible - but complete guess

    I believe Joe Biden covers it. He ran on a platform of Loan Forgiveness, and I believe this is in the small print.
