My word Mo!! Take a bow. What a ball that is. Wasn't overly happy with him being picked but he's been excellent

Interesting how pant handles the rest of the innings now!

I'd be gobsmacked if he does anything other than play the same game he does in any situation

Pathetic that we are going off with spinners on and floodlights on. What’s the point of wasting electricity turning them on?

This is the only situation where neutral umpires would be a benefit. Continuing to play now only suits England.

Two spinners on and they take them off and cancel play for the day. It could only happen with test match cricket. It's a nonesense.

Moeen just said they came off because Root wanted to bring the seamers back, so they had the option to stay out there.
I said last week that Mo wouldn't be happy to leave the hundred for a test match. He says he couldn't wait to get involved. He seams like a genuinely nice bloke.

so the paying fans are short changed of 8 overs in a day of decent weather with champagne corks on the outfield the only reason to hold the game up, and we have floodlights, think 3 maybe 4 reviews today, time to punish teams in the game for slow over rates
10 run penalty per lost over would cure it

In general over rates in test match cricket should be better, and some form of in game penalty ought to be introduced.
Even with the premature end tonight I think the over rates haven't been too bad comparatively.
24 lost over the 4 days.

Came off just after 6. Could have used a few of the remaining overs if root had been prepared to bowl the Ali and himself.
The thinking seems to be the game is finely balanced and a couple of big overs from Pant might make a difference.
New ball fresh bowlers, morning conditions should favour England at start of play today.
Hopefully Wood is fit, he opened the door yesterday afternoon with his pace on a flat dead surface.

Doesn't look good for Wood, so hopefully Anderson and Robinson can do the damage, and quickly.
