I like to give portly referees the benefit of the doubt. In his case I think that brandishing a yellow card gave him a bit of a breather. Good for him. They were all yellow card ponderables. He wouldn't have sent anyone off. It was also a case of "who's next to chop down O'Hare?" If he's only 19, he's a mega talent.
Often disabled toilets are locked and you need to ask someone who works there for a key. You can also buy them online so you can let yourself in without having to track someone down, they are called Radar keys and are a couple of quid.
Todays arrangements were a shambles. I would hope that the club respond but I would write to them as this cannot be how our club treats its loyal supporters. Do people also realise there were hundreds still queuing and coming into the ground when the minutes silence was on and even after. There would be no idea from all of these that the minutes silence was even taking place. I haven't a clue why the queues, but the QR codes weren't being scanned and the lines were weaving through all the cars in the east stand car park.
Would people not wonder why it's so silent in the ground even if they didn't know about the silence? If I was walking towards a place that's got a five figure crowd inside and cannot hear any noise I would assume there was a reason for it and stay quiet myself.
No I didn't hear any change in the crowd noise while I was queuing, coming through the concourse to the point of climbing the stairs. Thats the point I recognised there was a period of silence. Seems I wasn't alone.
If you’ve had a few beers, and are chatting away lost in the moment, you might not notice when down in the concourse. Then the concrete echos the sound into the ground. However annoying it is, I’ve not actually witnessed anyone shout or sing inside the stadium itself. It’s self-policed really. As soon as folk realise, they generally do shut up - and that was the case today.
The programme was littered with mistakes too. I will just mention the fixtures page but it had away followings against Cardiff and Bolton both down as nothing and for September it had Blackpool down as a home game and Forest down as an away game.
