No clock, no board showing added time, pre kick off 4 closed turnstiles at the East Stand end with massive queues outside, messed up minutes silence, chaotic kick off ruining "the knee", audible booing at said knee. Otherwise it was like err.. clockwork.
Biggest negative for me was the injury to Morris - Id be surprised to see him again before the international break and he could be out for much longer
Knee after being taken out late - obviously no booking as it was a blue shirt - it doesnt look food worst case could be ligaments but hopefully its nothing serious
Well if it's not food I won't be ordering it in tonight. Plus he might need his leg later in the season.
Had his leg in a splint thing at the end. Upsetting that the minutes silence wasn't impeccably observed but sounds as though there were still people in the concourse making noise as they were late getting in. Didn't need the idiot in the Ponty shouting about it though! Pleased again that the applause drowned out the booing, I think the message might hit home soon. a shame that the scoreboard, and season tickets didn't work though, and the sound system is very muffly. Great to start with a win though COYR!
Think that we live in an age now where grown ass adults have been indulged and distracted for so long that they cannot conduct themselves in a classy manner even for 1 minute. Think we should just do the 1 minute clapping at least like the monkeys in the zoo they should be able to manage that.
Blaming typing with a broken (but recovering ) wrist and hitting the wrong key. Makes a change from Autocorrect
Huge queues to get in bigger than I have ever seen. Lots of noise during the minute silence behind both goals. Scoreboard not working. Booing the knee. Messing up taking the knee by forgetting about it and kicking off. Programme seller outside club shop so slow someone had to come down the queue to help him out. But one positive hand washing in the gents was at an all time high
Does the ref pack the added time board in his car and bring it to the match? Or do we have one at the ground to be used at each game? I think we should be told. So we can work out who to blame. It was like going back 100 years today. Only the ref knew about the time. And we played till well after 5;.00pm. Spooky. Where we privy to some sort of weird time experiment today? Is the past the future?
The noise during the minute’s silence was from outside and in the concourses. They just didn’t realise I guess. I didn’t hear anyone from the actual stands making noise, other than those shouting to be quiet. Which is fair enough.
Since my last visit to oakwell I have health issues that means I have to use accessible toilets. Luckily I thought there is one under the east stand. I went at half time and waited as the red occupied flag was showing. After a while it’s obvious no one was in and it was locked. I ended up using the main toilet as best I could. Obviously there is something I need to know here, are the toilets available for use? How do I get access? Do I need to take a screwdriver to the next match?
