    Truer words never spoken. When I was a kid I managed to persuade my dad to pay a fiver to have a 1p piece flattened and stamped with the Center Parcs logo. It really improved my life did that penny.

    Something needs to be done because this isn't paper money. The sums are that high that nothing actually changes hands. We're going to enter a time when the answer will be simply to print more money. Some big clubs are going to fold eventually.

    Trevor Francis, first million pound player in UK 1979, that's about £4.5 million these days. I don't blame the players, it's the system that is mad. We are all paying for this whether it is upfront or via a drip-drip method from subscriptions, buying advertised products etc.
