Ten minutes max training every day with key commands of sit, stay, walk on etc, using food as a bait. Works wonders and they never forget once established. Also work on any no-go areas, like bedrooms, or sofas, if that's what you want. And then .......just enjoy. Such great companions. What would we do without them?
We've inherited a dog. Was supposed to be for 24 hours whilst an elderly relative was taken to hospital. Unfortunately, said elderly relative is now in long term care, so we have had this little fella 7 weeks. If anybody would like a 'mostly' Patterdale approx 8 year old dog for company, who likes fresh air and decent walks, drop me a line. If not he might have to go to a foster place (already been provisionally accepted). I love him to bits, but wife says no, and I have spent 22 years telling kids they can't have a dog. Downside - he is called Boris. Upside, he responds well to Bozza.
