Bit off the footy trend but just been in KDA (agen) and they are warning everyone that as a business they will still require all visitors to wear masks.
Business premises are private property and you enter them under a licence from the owner, who can set what terms they want. You will be deemed to have accepted those terms, and they are entitled to refuse entry if you don't comply. That is notwithstanding that the statutory regulation is about to disappear. It's likely to cause a lot of aggro, because blowhards will cite the repeal of the regulations and think that will entitle them to go where they want without restriction as to face coverings. It seems several of the supermarkets are set to "encourage" people to continue to wear them, whatever that means. Will they insist? Who knows. Further afield, it seems the hospitality industry is likely to resist calls to continue to insist on checking vaccination status and keeping table service. That's their right, so far as it goes. But it doesn't take a clairvoyant to see that the government will heap blame on them if things go wrong vis hospitalisation and deaths. I don't envy them.
