Say what you will about the board but their appointments have been spot on - with the exception of José ...
See the usual suspects are already out making little digs at the club. Here’s a thought, grow up. Welcome Khaled.
I was away last week, so I did a little search of the Chronicle site and the club sight and can't see anything.
I see the usual suspects are defending rather than asking very simple questions of why a basic announcement of someone leaving, despite their directorship being terminated some time ago, hasn't been made. Most strange.
It just baffles me how you can still maintain an interest in something that seems to have a profoundly negative effect on your life. Strange indeed.
I find it even stranger I get under your skin so much for merely having opinions, both congratulatory and critical.
Maybe they took a stance of If you cant say owt positive, say nowt. Could be hundreds of reasons why nothing has been said, not least contractual. It does sound another good appointment though
Well done BFC, Paul Conway and co. Looks like Khaled has a great CV - welcome aboard! I suspect we're not going to find out exactly what happened with Dane, but it seems less than ideal. Hopefuly us getting the new guy in so soon suggests we've known about Dane leaving for a while. If this was all in progress months ago then I take back my criticism of the club on this one.
Doesn't it just raise more questions though? I mean, forget this is BFC. Look at it as where you work. If a director mysteriously vanished just weeks after hailing a successful period of growth/profit.... wouldn't tongues wag and wonder just what had gone on? Especially if the first confirmation you hear is their replacement? The world keeps turning of course, but when basic formalities just don't occur, isn't it fair to ask why that is the case?
Yorkshire Post have done it for them and in fewer words than the famed Stendel announcement "El-Ahmad will replace Dane Murphy, who has joined Nottingham Forest".
