I'm assuming there's a good reason as to why there's been no statement but it is strange we're announcing a new CEO when the current one hasnt been formally announced as leaving.
Unless they've gone behind the clubs back again, which looking at the reports he has. He can be announced at his new club now. Ruthless these owners.
Quote from today's chronicle re Murphy "He is thought to have begin his role in a limited capacity at Forest while the final pieces of the deal are concluded with an official announcement expected in the coming days."
All it takes is: "Barnsley Football Club can confirm that CEO Dane Murphy has left his position at the club with immediate effect. Dane joined the club in 2019 and has.... We wish Dane and his fiancee all the very best for their efforts and wish them luck in their new ventures"
Has he actually started at Forest yet or is he on "gardening leave" similar to the Stendel situation and unable to take up a new position, possibly due a restrictive covenant?
Precisely my point. If someone has left of their own free will upon their contract running out, its not difficult to announce that or thank them. It's not the first time such comms have occurred while Conway has had to step into the helm. It looks childish, petty and small... again.
Maybe Conway and Co aren't happy that they've had to fill all these positions and don't think they would have had the arse ache had Dane stayed? Maybe Dane leaving was the catalyst for Ishmael deciding to leave and Mowatt's contract talks finishing and him ultimately departing?
You keep finding your negatives, I'm looking forward to sitting in Oakwell after the best season and biggest season ticket sales for 20 years, it should be a cracking atmosphere and hopefully another successful season after years of relegation battles.
I simply highlight things which are conducted poorly and don't defend things that shouldn't be defended. Just like I praise things when they are done well. I'm looking forward to the new season too. I'm looking forward to attempting to play more football. Though obviously, I doubt I'll be able to see anything live and in a venue in the forthcoming season. But such is life.
You clearly forgot he's the better fan because daring to question anything makes you a very bad person
