    Didn't realise we'd signed Northeast, always rated him. His game's got a bit muddled in last few seasons. However on his day he's a dangerous middle order batsman.

    Hampshire have signed nick gubbins, we’ve signed northeast on loan, I’d imagine if the budget is available he’ll sign full time

    We look a couple of batsman light today, Bess at 6, young wicket keeper duke at 7.

    That's a shame, Hill gone for 71 just as he was looking towards his first century 142 for 7.

    Big game . Could do with a draw minimum. Or I reckon we will need to beat lancs (if they draw) in the last match to progress to the top group. If lancs win their present game and we lose . 3rd beckons.

    Shouldn’t be too long before Thompson and Brook get international recognition for the white ball game.

    England will need some young blood soon particularly as they class as all rounders.

    Not particularly good news for Yorkshire though !

    Northants batsman Luke Procter missed the second day's play against Yorkshire for personal reasons, but he will continue his involvement upon his return, the club said on Monday.
