7/1 is fairish odds given the departure of head coach, captain, CEO and club secretary, and the impression that towards the end of last season there were increasing signs that teams had found the way to combat our style. But Skynobet will not allow me anything on either outcome!
I'm allowed £1.34 on promotion and £1.22 on relegation! You're obviously ever so slightly better at the game than me, but I'm getting there!
Interesting, Fonzie. When I said "anything" I really meant anything meaningful! Just tested it out. They'd let me have £4.17 on promotion and £0.71 on relegation. Strange firm!
I'd say we're a shoe in for relegation next season and 7/1 looks good. We've lost a great man motivator and the glue that held things together on the pitch. Without them it's the squad that struggled in 2019/20. I'm a tad concerned. I don't think it's coincidence that Head Coaches are working the oracle having their end of season debrief and f@@king off at the first opportunity. (I know Stendel was sacked but he'd been dry bu m med by the board first).
Derby and Peterborough are going to be down there surely? Blackpool will.need time to acclimatise as well I'd have thought. And then there's Luton losing players. Our squad is now of championship experience and quality, with good attitudes to training and fitness. If our new HC is anywhere near competent we really shouldn't be anywhere near the bottom 3 imo.
Correct Helen, as long as we keep the majority of the team together we'll be absolutely fine for a mid table finish at least.
I think they'll be ok next season based on how things are at the moment. There's even an argument that the squad in its entirety is actually stronger than this time last year. The main unknown is the manager and how he moulds the team and playing style. Who knows....he may actually do better than Ismael. Going down given the current situation? Definitely not.
That's a fair point, but let's at least wait until the transfer window closes to see what the squad looks like mate
Whole squad...and it is feasible that someone like Styles could eclipse what Mowatt was doing in midfield. Main point is we are not going down from what I can see.
The squad that's now had a few seasons experience? I think we've replaced the coach well and lost two players, if we start the season with that I'd be well happy.
