    ...this morning their Sports News headlined "will the last one out of Oakwell please turn the lights off" as they announced VI gone, Mowatt has refused a new contract and Dane looks like going.
    No mention that we`ve secured a replacement for VI.

    Yeah but we knew the air of optimism would possibly be departing this summer. We just didn't expect it to be this drastic. We don't do steady builds. We do overhauls and rebuilds. (Using we as a turn of phrase).

    I wouldn't get het up about it to be honest.
    Mowatt was always going at some point, we have very able young players like Kane, Palmer, and even Styles to fill that gap, in fact we have some great young and talented players to enjoy watching and developing.
    Dane going-so what? a communication every now and again, rest of time invisible, plenty more as good as him will want to join us
    Val going? again inevitable at some point but on this occasion the club have acted decisvely and swiftly and we have another roller coaster season in front of us with a highly rated manager
    We have 11,000 season ticket holders, probably the highest for years-in a pandemic with all the grief and financial misery for both club and fans-what a fantastic response from the fanbase!

    Meanwhile down in S6 the tumbleweed blows around both the rotting 1960 stadium, as well as around the finances of a decrepit basket case League 1 club who can't even pay their players
    In S1 we are looking at a club who've sacked the best manager they've had in years, spent 40 plus millions on pretty average players, and have been relegated comfortably. Oh, and have £17 million paragon of virtue Ollie McBurnie as star striker
    Both Sheffield clubs imploding in the same season

    So Radio Fritzel decides to have a dig at us?

    They'll need a much bigger shovel!!

    It sounds like it was just a joke and when you consider the boss, CEO and captain all appear to be jumping ship at the same time, I'm pretty certain any fan on here would've laughed if they were referring to any other team. Just my take on it.

    Lol a measley 23 points for dem blades last season and Wednesdeh in meltdown - with a double relegation the lights of Sheffield are hardly shining bright.
