    You have to feel for them.
    They are all pro UK and back the Tories.
    But the Tories fked them over by leaving the EU and putting a border down the Irish Sea after they said there would be no border.
    It’s a land of confusion.
    A powder keg just waiting to explode.

    Very much hoping its not going to explode. Its taken us so long to get here. So many peoples lives ruined in the process. We cant go backwards, it makes no sense for Britain, Ireland or N.I.

    To be fair, I really believe that most people up north just want to get on with life now. Doesnt matter which side they're on, they see the benefits of not killing or being under the threat of being killed now. If the politicians on both sides could just wind their respective necks in a bit, I think they'd be surprised how much support from their own sides they'd get.

    It's evident its simmering though. I visited Belfast for the first time in early 2020 and I was surprised just how much tension you could sense and I felt very much an outsider there. Moreso than pretty much any other place I've been.

    Perhaps most surprising to me was the considerable police presence still.

    Sadly, the UK and primarily england, have created a situation that is difficult to resolve easily. Westminster politicians are blatantly poking a hornets nest, with some Irish politicians siding with Westminster. That creates division ahead of marching season.

    I agree with you that the general public will hope there isn't a return to those days, but they probably also wished for them to end back in the day too.
