Just a personnel preference (& I certainly ain’t the only one). It’s not about having a sponsor on there, the more money for the club the better right? Just I don’t particularly want fans of others clubs thinking my surname is Perry’s/Palmer. What’s wrong with the old Gola on the shirt tail like I the 90’s? P.s. full disclosure, I’m sure I’ll have one or two Perry’s/palmers, but it’s been enough to put me off on the whole.
No white sections on those photos, looks a typical current Puma shirt, loose around the neck, baggy shorts again.
I joined the BBS in January 2004. Since then, every Summer when the new kit has been released, it's been met with comments like 'horrible', 'sh*t', 'Is that it?', 'worst kit ever'. :As predictable as night following day.
The kit is mostly Red. Which to me is BFC. The Shorts are mostly white, which to me is BFC. So I can think of far greater things to worry about in this day and age. I don't get too precious about the kit announcement. I would if they said it was going to be Blue and White stripes - I could be vocal about that. Indeed. If you asked what I was really wanting I'd have probably said 'mostly Red, bit of white, a few stars on the front, and a floorcoverings-based business as our main sponsor'. But they didn't ask me, so I can live with what they have presented. Nice enough to me, and I think 'dog poo' is well wide of the mark.
"See? I TOLD you! I was right again!" With regards to the shirt, I like the crossed pick axes within the shirt.
It's a bit odd, the picture of the infant's kit accentuates the side panels but you wouldn't notice them from the other images.
It’s so daft to put it on a white background isn’t it? If we hadn’t seen the pic in the Chronicle and just looked at the pics of the adult kit on there you would not be expecting white sides at all! Saying that, it does make me want one as a ‘lady’ as it does really look like it’s ladies fit. I know it’s not but it makes it look like an optical illusion and nicer on the pic than it normally does.
Seconded. I may still take the Red but I like a choice and as an exile I usually take the Away kit. I must have about 10 in a drawer upstairs all Away shirts. The earliest being millennium season. I was in a winning 5-a-side team on Gran Canaria wearing that one.
They will not go for white socks. They will go grey in the was or the Red from the shirts may turn them pink if someone puts the wash on too high a heat.
Personally I don’t like it but I never do like that sort of neck. Another thing I don’t get is I don’t see why the replica shirts have to be replica shapes. I get that young fit footballers like slimline fitted shirts but have the makers even looked at the shape of the average football fan!
Has anybody been able to pre-order the free shirt via the email the club sent regarding reds reserved + membership? Keeps telling me I don’t have the right membership?
