Virtually everyone in the vulnerable categories has now been double vaccinated, so we shouldn’t see a corresponding rise in hospital cases and deaths even with a rise in positive cases. But it’s very much a watch and see if that is the case.
There is a possibility that it will stop 90% of deaths (although there is a doubt AZ is that effective against the "Indian" variant with ~60-70% quoted from trials), but that could make it more likely that hospitals are overwhelmed as people are in hospital longer having treatment before being released.
I think over 90% of the most vulnerable groups have now been double jabbed. Maybe higher I can't remember where I saw the exact figure. It was the grouping together 99% if those who sadly die from covid. So it either works or It doesn't.
Aren’t we currently below the WHO/SAGE best case prediction? Zero deaths in England and Scotland? More hospitals than people in hospital?
Mail confirming it now.... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9738819/Vaccine-passports-over.html Interestingly even though you won't need to show a vaccine passport by law, the Premier League look like they will ask you anyway. I really hope EFL clubs don't do it.
