Has been outdone by Thomas Tuchel again. Let's just say he's Tuchel's bitch :D
I can't stand Chelsea or City but Chelsea deserved to win the game.
So Pep, failed to win the CL in three seasons at Bayern Munich and now failed in four/ five seasons at a City. Shocking, defensive tactics from him. His style of football is so bloody boring. Can't believe his job isn't under more scrutiny after another failure...

It wasn’t City’s defensive tactics that cost them tonight as they were no different to how they normally play. It was their lack of usual attacking flair that cost them. Chelsea had their number tonight.

Pep hasn't been tested in management. Every club he's had lots of cash to spend and/or lots of world class players. At Barca he had arguably the greatest club side ever in world Football but let them grow old together and they haven't been the same since.

Went to Germany where there is so little competition. Came to England and spent over a billion pounds to still not win the big one. Been handed the best academy set up in the world and all he has brought through is Foden.

I don’t think mount would’ve had the time to pick his pass for the goal had rodri or Fernandinho been on. That plus moving your top scoring midfielder into a deeper role was just barmy

That was just one passage in play though, agree about Foden. I just felt, team selection aside, City weren’t at it, how much of that is attributable to Chelsea is up for fair debate. They certainly were the better team and deserved it.

I know next to nothing about Premier League clubs, but as the players lined up in the tunnel, I turned to my lad and said, "Chelsea look completely focused. City are all fidgety and shuffling about. Not a good sign." Whatever qualities Pep might have as a coach, I reckon we gave a much better motivator in Big Val.

He's played without a striker most of the season. Hasn't done them much harm up till now. Not playing a defensive midfielder was the undoing last night.

He didn't purposely field a sub-optimal lineup in the champions league final because he wants Harry Kane.

It was the match winning passage of play. Yes, they were off it, but how much of that was down to not being able to break up play when they didn’t have the ball, and Gundogan and Foden not being able to get into their usual positions when they did?

He definitely over complicated it. Who knows if a different team selection would have made a difference. Picking a 11 he hadn't fielded all season seems very odd to do in a final.
