Think the club should find a middle ground between early prices and what they are now it’s over 20 pounds a game where we want to sit makes you think I will pick and choose my games because not really saving that much
Still a lot lower than majority of championship clubs and it was a decent early bird window of nearly two months. Throw in the finance option and I think they did a good job of selling the cheaper tickets
You are deciding it’s not saving that much whilst having no real idea how much individual match tickets will be. They might go up a little - in fact it wouldn’t be fair to suggest they shouldn’t. I think the ST prices as they are now are actually more than fair - I doubt anyone who was in the top half of the championship with us will be as cheap. Plus the early bird and loyalty offers were insanely good, price wise. Up to you, and I’ve no idea of your finances - but I’d encourage as many as possible to get on board and back them. The more season tickets sold, the less players leave (or more/better come in). Back them.
Ponty/east lower £17/£17:60 per game I'll be surprised if less than £25 pod in those areas. Still a saving of around a third at those prices. So circa. 23 games for the price of 16. So a very good saving still. Can see upper tiers being in the region of £28 pod. A similar saving. If you think saving around a third on matchday prices is not saving much. You may have a shock coming. It could well be more than I'm anticipating. The prices in 2019/20 were, in advance. cat. A £36 cat. B £28 cat. C £23 Pod an extra £2
0% finance was available with early bird tickets wasn’t it? That was a no-brainer really to anyone undecided.
I've not read anything different. But we could well have reached the cap of 11,000 sales of seasonal members. (Their choice of words not mine. Must be the American wording for ST holders) . . Then folk will have to register and wait and see what the latest guidelines will be on stadium allowances. I dont know if the June announcement will mean no restrictions on numbers. A few weeks back they had neared 10,000 sales
It depends on how many matches you think you can get to with your circumstances. For some people it will be cheaper buying one even if they miss a handful of games.
Think it was fairly obvious when the pricing was announced that once the early bird offer ended we wouldn't sell many more given the prove difference. I'm sure those in charge of ticketing at the club were well aware of this. In fact its a fairly basic marketing technique. If the difference between early bird and "normal" price wasn't so big then it would remove some the urgency people felt to renew. Having cleared 10k sales I would say the pricing policy wqs spot on and imagine everyone at oakwell was thrilled with he response.
