    With the sad news of 3 players I watched either live or on tele I suddenly feel very old. RIP big Eric, Len Badger and Chris Chilton

    You and I both mate, an ever dwindling club we're in, but, we've had the privilege of watching the likes of Eric and others giving us great memories and tales to tell.

    Chris Chilton banged them in for Hull for years, no doubt some of those coming against us.

    I can’t bear the thought of it but there will come a time, soon enough, where every player I remember from the 1960s and then the 1970s will be gone. Sobering thought.

    7 Oct 64 and it was 7-0 and you may be right about Chilton’s contribution but I can’t find the scorers. Very bad time to be a Barnsley fan then
