Good stuff. Thankfully we haven't seen much of her on the pitch this season. Highly fit youngsters no doubt help that but the physios must take credit for the conditioning.
wow... what an impressive lady is our Vicky. (and well done the two interviewers) and not just Vicky.... most of our admin/support/business types are top class... (I say most because some are unseen... every one I see is top class)
This is gonna go against the grain but I thought it was a bit creepy tbh. Some of the comments about ‘looking at her’ were cringey. Especially when she says “it’s alright I work in men’s football “. I guess she has to constantly put up with this.
I doubt that will be an uncommon opinion. I put it down to them being awkward amateur podcasters who made some misjudged comments and then dug themselves deeper. I have no idea what they were thinking, bringing all that up. Still good to hear from backroom staff. In fact there were a few things she mentioned that I would have liked them to go more into, like training and rehab for different positions. I'd also like to know if they have a secret codeword for 'I'm not really injured but we're 1-0 up with three minutes to go." I doubt she would have let that one out of the bag though!
This happens if you don’t have a really detailed script to work through. Interviewing isn’t easy at all but the advantage of doing it on Zoom is that you can have your notes on the screen and be looking straight at them the whole time - which happens to be where you need to be looking anyway. The challenge then is basically how good are your notes/how good is your prep. You can pretty much write up the whole interview before it even starts and remove the risk of saying or asking anything uncomfortable and going off piste in to a difficult or nervous discussion. I’d spend 2-3 hours prepping for each Live from Redfearn’s Bar interview and every guest had the questions sent in advance. Not that someone like Rick Holden read them ……
What an absolutely lovely lass she comes across as. Well spoken, chirpy, articulate and just an all round top girl. A credit to herself and the club. Really liked that interview. Very interesting.
First time think I’ve heard the lass speak ,well done on getting us through season with a small squad
She must have to put up with all sorts of inappropriate comments. Her and Chris have done incredible this season. The quick turnaround from last season to this without much of a rest for the players and our injury list has been really small.
Dear Vikki, I have developed a certain strain and would like your opinion of it. Is it worth cultivating and should it be trussed until it reaches full size? Yours, J Peasmold Gruntfuttock.
She comes across as a friendly, classy professional. Sadly, there'll be some pathetic individuals who'll think the crass 'box ticking' mantra fits. Well done, Vikki. Very impressive.
Female physio at Glamorgan being shown walking around the boundary along with Mark Walton ex footballer and academy coach.
My colleague’s daughter is hoping to go on and do this, I’m going to send her the link, I’m sure she’ll feel even more inspired to follow in Vikki’s footsteps. Thank you to Vikki and the interviewers.
