At what point do united have to forfeit the game? Should’ve forfeited it when it was originally called off
Not sure I understand some of the reactions on this thread. Violence and criminal damage are totally wrong, obviously. But as far as taking direct action goes, United supporters hate what the Glazers have done to their club and are taking a stand. This on a day when the PL clubs have signed a deal for broadcasting rights for an absurd sum of money and given the 72 a bit of pocket change. football badly needs sorting out. Ownership by “investors” who don’t have the club’s interests at heart, states buying teams to “sportwash” their human rights records, minimal trickle down of cash. So if a big game gets disrupted to highlight this stuff, not sure I have a problem with that.
Why are Liverpool having to suffer because of it though too? Weird Utd fans only care now because they aren’t winning stuff anymore.
Also let the tyres down on the team coach. To be honest, as protests go at least this feels within the realms of being safe providing it stays that way and doesn't include any of the vandalism we say the other week or threat to public safety. I don't think the fans will care if they're docked points and I actually think that might be the objective.
