Am I missing something? The FA absolutely lambasted the 'big six' clubs for signing up to the European super league and promised there would be repercussions for their actions. The UK government absolutely lambasted the same clubs for the same actions and promised to take the strongest possible action.

Fast forward THREE WEEKS and the UK government is bending over backwards to accommodate the desires of two of these big six clubs, changing LAWS to help them out. The FA is bending over backwards to allow them to use the FA owned stadium.

Tell them to get fcu.ked. the games in turkey. Tough titties. If that means no fans for these selfish clubs then so what? If it means them having to quarantine then so what? Not our problem. Boris wasn't bending over backwards to help families spend birthdays together, nobody cared then. Why do they care just because of wealth?

It's the last game of the season. There is absolutely no reason why they can't play in turkey and quarantine like the rest of the bloody population would have to on their return home

I appreciate it is in different times but I’m sure in the recent past Wembley has held 2 cup finals on one day as I recall being quite surprised at how they managed to turn it around so quickly. I could have dreamt it I suppose!

I think we have a better chance of winning with no fans in the ground home & away. Many of our players have only played behind closed doors, or to very small crowds.

on your last point there is a problem as the Euros start on 11th of June so if the players in the CL final are quarantined from 29th May for 2 weeks it screws up any preparations for those in their national squads.
Not disagreeing with the general thrust of your argument though

Good point. I'm sure that with the use of daily testing though they could do something about it that way. After all, footballers have been breaking covid laws for months due to being 'special'

Am I missing something here. They're proposing moving the CL Final to a ground (Wembley) that already has a game scheduled there (Championship Playoff Final). So 2 games have to be moved. Why not just play the CL Final somewhere else, then only 1 game needs rescheduling?

Just move one of them to Derby as reward for staying up and bucking the system.

Didn’t we play games this season against teams who were allowed home fans while we weren’t because of local restrictions? Even if the Welsh govt don’t allow fans in Swansea, following the same logic what does it matter if we are allowed?

It genuinely wouldnt surprise me if something like the following happened
CL final to Wembley - Saturday 29th
Champ playoff Moved to Sunday 30th
L1 Playoff moved to Monday 31st
L2 Playoff also on 31st but moved to a different Venue eg villa Park

Barnsley fans to St Pancras (Sheffield) or Kings Cross (Doncaster). Its a long detour to land in Euston (Birmingham/Manchester or North West) from here.

We should tell Chelsea and city to smell their mothers and have it in turkey.
Wheres the sense of potentially fast tracking UEFA delegates and their cronies into the country that may drag a new variant with them?

Very true. But they're all right next to each to be fair so that's just semantics. Original point still stands about the different stations and the tube line.

It would be abhorrent to fail to allow one of the biggest games in English Football (Championship Play Off Final) to be played at Wembley. As this is the prize and ambition for Club, Players Fans involved.
This to allow two teams who less than a couple of weeks ago were preparing to break away for their own interest to join a European Super league. Champions league Final at Wembley, not unless they are going to play two finals there on the 29th or Play the Champions league Final at another Stadium in the UK.

I got more angry in the first thread on this with people (Barnsley fans) saying, "that seems fair", "Yes it's only right" etc. Had to leave the computer before I did myself a mischief.

Sort of my point without the specifics with Chelsea and Man City added into it

Think we’re all kidding ourselves if we think for a minute that Wembley/the football authorities/this government would give any thought to the playoff final if they get a chance of hosting the Champions League Final.

Because it’s a devolved power that the Welsh government have. How dare Wales not have any say in how people live there.

Yes in England. Not in Wales.

Ps. I’m not disagreeing with anyone here either. I’m just mentioning what the rules are that I live with etc.
