I really hope we can show our gratitude at Oakwell to him (and the rest of the players). I feel like it could be a goosebumps moment.
It's weird when you think about it, that he's led us from relegation threat to the play-offs all with no fans there to show what it means to them. I hope someone's been thinking up some appropriately adoring songs for him.
They'd need to do an open-top bus around the entire town limits if they can pull off the miracle. Can you imagine that? No monsoon though like in 1997
Here you go fella. After 7 league games we had accumulated a huge 4 points (-4 goal difference) and were 15 points behind Reading who at that stage had 19 points and were league leaders! In the following 37 league games we have taken 73 points at 1.97 points per game. We have gained 23 points on Reading in that time to open up at an 8 point gap at this stage! It just shows the incredible job big Val has done. Now, if Val had the whole season and we matched the same PPG over a full 46 game season then we would take 91 points and probably be top 2!
He has given us all a rare semi and you never know in the next year or two there could be a surge of kids in tarn being named Val
Who's got a turtle neck now? Gotta admit I liked strubers jeans ,, beanie hat and white trainers personally haha
Struber "left" after the Middlesboro game. We had 1 point from 4 games at that point. Adam Murray took over and gained 3 draws from the 3 games against Stoke, Bristol City and Millwall before VI took over for the home game against Watford. So it should be thank you Adam for your 3 points
