Just been musing on Google and it says that promotion is worth £270 million and even if you come straight back down you get £90 million over 3 years. For those who know: how much did our current squad cost?
I’m not entirely sure but I was thinking about this the other day. It will be interesting to see what approach the board takes if we do go up. They have always said that they wouldn’t do anything crazy. Slow and steady growth accepting that relegation could be part of it similar to Norwich would be the way to go in my opinion.
I think the opposite. It will mean the club is where they want it to be and makes their portfolio look better having a Premier League club in it. I reckon they'd have a good stab at staying there.
Hypothetical response. What would happen to our wage structure and transfer fee pay out? Never signed anyone for over £1.5million and i would hazard a guess that no one is currently on more than £8k per week. Obviously both would be exceeded but i would hope to sensible and sustainable levels.
As long as they reverted back to Championship wages if we got relegated. so another £20 a week for promotion.
Bragging rights to all the DeeDars, at both ends of the city. My Sheff U neighbour 2 doors down won't hear the last of me for ages..... Chance to become Yorkshire Number 1 team again.
It depends, if you got it on a triple world with the P or M on a double letter and played all your letters, it could be over 100 I reckon.
That's what I've been wondering. What is an appearance in the play offs worth even if we fail to go up? Must be a decent wedge of tv money?
