Game's gone. Hate that club, and their success funded by a regime that runs roughshod over human rights, with their manager who happily turns a hypocritical blind eye whilst wearing a yellow ribbon for Catalan political prisoners despite taking the dirty millions. Utterly detestable.
I heard someone the other day saying he can’t believe he’s living in a world where Real Madrid are the most likeable of the champions league semi finalists
Completely agree Helen. They'd still break the rules and do it though then pay the slap on the wrist fine when caught out.
Why have they paid 400k. Who have they paid it to? Thought teams could take any player under 16 for about 11k. Was there a bidding war?
He'll be rubbish as hes from a lower league club. They should be signing kids from bigger and better clubs. I've never seen him play like but he'll be ****. Look at us for proof, Conor, Mawson, Styles, Mawson, Winnall, Yiadom, Roberts, Scowen, Brittain, Pinnock, Angus to name but a few. No ambition.
I thought it had been made illegal in the UK to pay a fee for a player under 16 years of age. This is not just because of FIFA Rules but Employment Rules and most importantly, you are still considered and protected as a child, until your 18th birthday. ?????
I'm going to put a positive spin on this, and don't get me wrong, I dislike Man City and everything they stand for, more than I do any other club. I loosely follow Stevenage, my dad had a season ticket for them when he lived there in the 70s. They're a mess financially, because for a club their size to compete at their level, they've spent beyond their means (albeit they probably have one of the lowest budgets in the football league). Covid of course hasn't helped. So the 400k they've received for this transfer might just help them survive a couple more seasons.
Morally, there's all sorts wrong with it. Morals don't appear to be high on the agenda of the City ownership now though.
Putting a price tag on a 12 year old. My lad wont be worth any of that. He will be worth his own choices apart from been a red of course
