Jennings, as we knew what he was capable of. Hristov was a young lad in a foreign country who we clearly never saw the best of. Chris Lumsdon and Brian McCord were both brilliant on loan but I think both times they send us back their identical twin brothers who happened to be nowhere near as good at football.
Yes, I really wanted little Miguel to do well. It was quite a move for him and he certainly had the goal scoring history. Sadly the English game proved too much of a step in quality and style.
Keith Adamson. Long forgotten, sign from Tow Law Town in the North East as a striker in the mid 60s when we were desperate for a goal scorer. From memory he played 7 games without scoring and went back to the obscurity from where he came.
So many over the years tbh Ritgers, Tommy Wright Mido Paul Warhurst Kevin Gallon Rocastle Treacy Lita Chris Lumsden (permanent)
To Tally agree about Lumsdon. We were all thinking how had we got this kid on loan. When we signed him.it was deffo.his twin
Certainly not a failure but I was gutted that Lloyd Isgrove’s time at the club was cut short owing to injuries which prevented him from reaching his true potential. Good to see him back playing and amongst the goals at Bolton. And we’ll always have Wembley to remember him by.
