Wasn't he 2 yards off? just had a look at the goals & I know it didn't matter in the end but what do we think?
I disagree, he seemed about 15 yards off. I couldn't believe no one else mentioned it yesterday. He seemed that far off he had to stand about waiting for the ball through to catch him up.
It shouldn't have mattered. 1) The penalty should have been scored or 2) the rebound should have been put away(fair play to the 'keeper though) or 3 Halme should not have got caught in possession before it went to the striker. There is always human error with the officials(same with players), but like in boxing, the way to avoid the judges or refs making a bad decision(or points decision in boxing) is not to give them the opportunity to make said decision. We're still a young team though, and they seem to have learnt a lot of lessons together over the course of a few seasons, so fingers crossed they learn from this too...
I was wondering why Helik was at the wrong end of the field for a penalty...did he think he was going to cross it ???
My initial comment on there goal way why,on earth was Helik following up the penalty? He should have been much further back.
Possibly in one sense this was probably a good learning experience for the whole team. Yes pens are more often than not scored but at least the team are now aware of the what if scenario - I think we will set up better to defend following a pen in future because of this happening.
I’ve only just watched the replay he was a good two yards off. There can’t be an angle that suggests otherwise?
