Just flicked Sky Sports review on and the discussion was the glaring miss by Reading at Oakwell, even showed the footage and declared that Reading had dropped 2 points because of this........No mention of us hitting the post just after because their goalie dropped the ball or us being denied a goal that the commentary team admitted was unfairly ruled out for reasons nobody understood.....Teams like Barnsley eh...
It was such a bad miss though. The disallowed goal has been debated, but there’s no debate about that miss. He should’ve scored. That was worse than missing a penalty.
Worse than Torres for Liverpool v Man utd Or Ronnie Rosenthal again for Liverpool v Aston Villa. But not as bad as the miss by Kanu when a yard out and put it over the bar.
Has to go down as one of the worst misses I’ve ever seen. Still do not understand why he was aiming at the left hand side of the goal either. The ball was coming to him at the perfect pace and he had so much time.. just incredible.
Super John did something similar at Home to Charlton at the end of our Promotion season. Thankfully we were 3 or 4 up at the time.
