Can we please remember that Jao miss for future reference when we ask, what was the worst miss you ever saw?

When I saw Callum back pass my heart sank & then when it broke to Joao it sank even further, then I was stunned, what the chuff does this game of football do to us & our emotions

Good fortune for for both teams in that passage of play. Good luck for Reading in having the opportunity presented to them and good luck for Barnsley as an absolute sitter was missed by Reading.

What was the name of that massive centre half that dribbled the ball all the way up the wing and then missed an open goal?

none of those was as bad as that miss today. I could have put that in with my foreskin; and I’m circumcised.

Mark Ogley? He certainly went on a mazy run beating several defenders and then skied his shot into the Ponte End.

Oddjob at Wembley was nowhere near as bad as that miss today. It was a bad miss, but just a one on one. Why Jao for some insane reason opted against rolling it in to the empty net to the right side and tried to score in the corner the keeper had the most chance of getting to (and hit it wide!).

As much as Odejai gets criticism for a glaring miss I have to disagree .
My beef in that situation wasn’t because he missed open net which he didn’t .
It was because he didn’t hit the target or at least make the goalie work .
It wasn’t a glaring miss at all imo he still had the goalie to beat in a one on one . That miss today was by far an easier chance than odejais imo.

Odd job was one on one had the keeper to beat. Joea only had to hit the target my grandma could have scored that today im not sure how a player who has scored 18 league goal this season so far missed that.

Kiwomya missed an open goal from a yard out and central . I don’t think you can out trump that

Of course you’re right, but in terms of the importance it was a terrible miss.

Besides, I’m not actually comparing, I’m just answering the OP by remembering some of the worst misses I’ve seen.
