We should be focusing on that equally. But why excuse what isn't a tiny minority of the nation who won't play by the same rules as everyone else? More people not giving a damn about guidance is one of the drivers of increased healthcare admissions. So by all means look at things like infection control, but don't rule out one possible route cause of increased infections because of that.
Many ways hopefully. One being fans back for a full season of football down at Oakwell. Pre-match / post match pint n banter...
What we're going to get is the usual screeching ninnies on Facebook/Twitter etc who've gone to Newquay/.Bournemouth/Whitby over the bank holiday weekend and are crying because......there are so many people there, without any hint of self-awareness that they themselves are actually there as well, adding to the number of people that are there.
Always makes me laugh that. "When we turned up today, we couldn't believe how many people were here and how crowded it was"
All the focus is on the tiny minority. Covid infections are heavily weighted towards healthcare settings. Be it carehomes NHS... The really cynical side of me wouldnt be surprised whatsoever if the noise around pubs is just smoke and mirrors to distract people from asking the right questions. The Telegraph did try and look into this but got stonewalled. Theres a SAGE paper by all accounts being sat on which suggests 40% of fatalities in the 1st wave relate to infections caught in a clinical environment. But yeah dave next door having a few mates over for a bbq and some beers was the issue...
It’s already all over Twitter from today with people sat in the park being judged as though it’s the signal of the imminent arrival of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse
More than 6 people outdoors is very dangerous but over crowded supermarkets people picking stuff of shelves an putting them back is fine...
It's crazy but a lot of the people who are in the parks in their droves won't understand why we can't get rid of covid ,and some of them in Supermarket are as bad.
It's been like Xmas and NYE rolled into one today the amount of booze we've sold at work. Hot weather today n tomorrow coupled with the long weekend (for some) means carnage is afoot. Personally I'm not holding out much hope that the next 2 steps, May and June dates, of lockdown easing will happen as planned. The human race has evolved into the lemming. I want to get off.
I quite like how the government are making a big deal about telling us all that it doesn't spread outside. That the air sweeps the covid particles away etc etc. Makes me wonder why the f so many people have been forced to waste away and die alone when they could have met loved ones outside and died with at least a shred of comfort
