Agree with Space Blues and Lord North. I also think Subjectivist 12.50 has a good chance and at EW odds Panadol 2.05, Copano Kicking 2.40 and Salute the Soldier 4.50.
The 1.25 at Donny I would leave well alone.

I made a pact with myself to never back Summerghand ever again following it's last run. Beaten in its last 7 starts, all at shorter than 6/1. Its the Buywise of the flat for me - hope it wins for you though.

I've had a couple of bets today - in the consolation race I'm on what Silvestre De Sousa is riding. Can't remember it's name because I'm out with the dog at the minute, but it's about 20s. Nobody apart from maybe Dettori is a better judge of pace from the front than Silvestre and I'm hoping he points, aims and fires.

The 2.50 at Newbury is an interesting novice handicap. Sorry to bring jumps racing back to the field. I'm on the second sring of Chris Gordon. It's the outsider of the field and I backed it each way at 20s last night. Annoyingly there's a non runner today, meaning 7 goes to post so the odds are now against me. But it won two novice hurdles on decent ground before pulling up in behind My Drogo at Ascot in a bog. It was then brought down 2 out when still going well last time out. Interestingly, the stable jockey takes the ride over the other horse who is shorter in the betting.

If I had to have a poke in the Lincoln it would be King Ottokar, in the hope that it finally gets a little bit of luck in running.

So, what I'm saying is I've picked out 2 horses today who's names I can't remember, and I'm on a bit of a dodge pot in the big race.

    Good luck everyone!

A horse with no name? Good song. I'll have a look. Good luck to everyone with their selections

    3rd at 16s.
    2nd at 14s.

Thought Press Your Luck was going to win then, but you can't have everything. Nice bit of profit secured.

Good luck to everyone for the rest of the day.

Nice to see Acklam Express pick up some good place money for Nigel Tinkler in Meydan especially as I got 40/1 each way

Nice one, Mr Egham! Lord Glitters is another North Yorkshire trained horse to have had a good Carnival out there with two wins and a third.

Well done to Fonzie for the two juicy-priced placed horses on Saturday and also to KamikazeCo-Pilot for Subjectivist!

I think John and Thady Gosden have found the next Frankie Dettori!

Nigel has had a few places with Acklam Express out there. I was a member of Full Circle for quite a few years and met Colin his dad a few times. To say he was a character is putting it mildly with the lamb glove puppet at the seller bidding after a race being memorable ;). Kim Tinkler , Nigels wife, was formerly Kim Spink who was a stable lass originally at Nigels stable. She is from Conisbrough if I remember rightly

Could it have won if it hadn't raced by itself?

My apologies, MHTR! Should have included you in the roll of honour. A tasty 16/1 second! :)

Interesting that Sumerghand is entered in the All Weather Sprint Championship at Lingfield on Friday with Adam Kirby booked. He broke slowly on Saturday and was never positioned well enough to challenge. Despite that he still finished well and was never closer than at the line. A better draw and a slightly faster start would help his cause. At 11/2 for Friday he is of interest again, to my way of thinking.

Bit harsh Mr Dawson, seeing as it was Kevin Stott!

Andrea received a 'test and trace' alert on Saturday and gave up all his Donny rides!

It did run on but it didn't look that impressive to me. It looked a beaten horse running on through tired horses.
