Both me and the Mrs have been having issues with our phones this morning. I'm unable to open Tapatalk (the app I use to view this forum), Gmail, Flash Scores or use the Google search bar. She's having issues with her Outlook email (although weirdly mine works), and a couple of different apps. Just looked online, and it seems there's an issue with a recent android update which is stopping you from using certain apps. It references Google based apps, however some of the apps I'm having issues with aren't Google ones as far as I'm aware. Just a heads up for anyone who's having similar issues.
My girlfriend has been having similar issues with Google and certain apps. Thanks for the heads up, I'll let her know it's a wider problem.
Our lass had same problem this morning.Rang ee and was told to go into Google play store and download pending updates job sorted.
I've not done a phone update for about two years now. The first one I did created a whole host of problems, so I just turned off the manual updates. The phone has worked fine since
The first set of updates I did with the new phone, took me 6 hours to sort out the issues which doesn't include being on hold to the Samsung call centre for 2 hours. I've got better things to do with my life than spend a whole day rebuilding my phone every time they do an update. Phone updates off - not had a problem

What problems did it cause updating your phone? Apart from the layout changing slightly every time I've never had any big issues
How? I'm not going to spend a full day rebuilding my phone every update. If I'd have had issues then I'd need to change my philosophy, until then.....
Nothing worked basically. I couldn't even make a phone call. I had to use my wife's phone to call the Samsung call centre. It took nearly 2 days to get something working, and a week to get all my apps/contacts back up to date. Won't do that again
That's not a normal thing to happen after updates. My phone updates every day and has done for years without anything happening like that to it. It is dangerous to not update it, especially apps that contain your data.
Just hope you don't do online banking or purchase anything using your phone. Also, updating a phone is really uncomplicated. Sounds like the issues you've had are a user interface error.
I don't That's what I thought, until it basically needed a rebuild of the phone. Two days later, via the Samsung call centre, we got it working Thank you for your kind words of encouragement
