Euro 2020: Which players should be England's attacking options this summer? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56330575 Got to be Kane, Rashford and Sterling, hasn't it? Calvert Lewin having a good season. Not seen enough of Sancho to have an opinion. Vardy not mentioned. I'm not considering Bamford 'cos I'm biased and he plays for Leeds
Unsure on Sterling. I think he's been brilliant for years, but he seems to have lost his form in the last couple of months. If I'm picking on form (and hopefully Southgate does this) then he makes the squad but not the eleven. Southgate seems to favour a 3-4-3 on paper, but this tends to end up being a 5-2-3 which is pretty negative imo. He usually plays Rice Henderson together, which I don't agree with. If I'm gaffer, then I'd go for... Henderson Wan Bissaka Stones Maguire Shaw Wow, I've picked 4 Man Utd players in the back 5. They are pretty tight though, Shaw has improved past Chilwell and Wan Bissaka is a better one on one defender than Walker or Trent. I'd pick Declan Rice as a holding midfielder, then a fluid 4 in front of him Foden, Maddison, Grealish, Rashford. They are free to go where they like and do that they like. Rice is a physical machine and so he can do the dirty work. If we get overrun, then Henderson can come in for either Maddison or Grealush to make a 4-2-3-1 Kane then up front. Easy game.
To be honest with you, I agree. But then I thought who else is there? Dunk? Tarkowski? Dier? I can't think of many centre halves
Forgot about him completely. He's brilliant going forward. He gets the nod in my side against lesser teams, but if the opposition has a red hot left winger, then I want Wan Bissaka.
I'm struggling to be fair. Definitely not Dier though. Connor Coady is in the squad - I might give him the shirt and see what he can do. Another I've not seen enough of to form an opinion.
