The PL is everything I hate about football. My lad would love it...... the owners certainly would but I'm not arsed either way.
I want to see us going to some big grounds and fc()king sheit up - if that's in the championship, so be it. This is, objectively, the best season we've had since we were all 20 years younger. We could lose every remaining remaining game and that would still be the case. I'm quite happy with that. If we don't go up, we will challenge again next season under Val.
Best think about getting promoted is the day it happens. Sad that football has changed so much that that’s the case Edit: promoted to the premier league that is
I want to go up or what is the point in any of it,everything in life must have a purpose ,doesn't it?
I want to go up and stay there forever. It's the place every club should want to play and every fan should want to watch their club. If you aren't aiming for the top then what's the point.
I worry that if we narrowly miss going up we'll lose VI and Mowatt, which would be a blow. I also just want to see some phenomenal #teamslikebarnsley flounces when we beat the big boys or run them close
The moment will be good but the var one will be ****. Franchise horrible league. And al English football is getting like it but still ill never turn my back on us lol
We need to go up, otherwise big Val won't be our head coach next year. What we have achieved this year has not gone unnoticed, only the prospect of Premier League football will keep the wolves from our door regarding our Head Coach and players.
Yes for our young supporters, we can all surely remember what football meant to us at their age and how far we would have liked to reach.
No, we won’t. It doesn’t work like that for clubs like us. Like the 2000 playoffs, like the 2008 FA Cup it’s now or never. These opportunities happen once in a generation. If we don’t go up this year the team will be broken up and sold, the manager will move on. This is the generational opportunity, we need to not make a cat’s fanny of it.
I disagree. It's like the argument were a top L1 side but a average at best Championship team. Fluctuating between the division's recently. The point is realism........ it doesn't matter to me personally wether we go up or not. I'd rather go to an away day at Accrington than Arsenal. It might be an age thing and I'll accept that but the PL holds no interest to me.
My reason to go to football maybe different to others. I get that. I love winning but the clamour for the PL place isn't for me. I gagged for promotion from L1 but im really aren't bothered after that. I just hate modern footy. VAR, players on a million quid a month, snap chat, celebrity partners, hash tag stuff. It's all false to me. Brentford may become the new Bournemouth. Sheff Utd may become the next Birmingham. What's the point .... ? I don't feel the need to visit Old Trafford or Anfield. It's just not for me....... give me a pint or two before going down to Oakwell and I'm happy.
I do not see us going up not after today. I am also wondering if a play off place will be for us too.
It makes no difference to me what division they're in. I enjoyed seasons in all of them. That said, I do think that there is something special about the Championship
Not that keen on the PL myself to be honest. Find a lot of fans of PL clubs to be full of self entitlement and many hold a disdain for lower league clubs. Had a very heated discussion with a mate of mine who is an Everton St holder who said that Leeds / Wednesday / Sunderland should be in the league as they were all massive clubs. Whereas sh **y clubs like Bournemouth have no right to be there. My argument was yes they did because they deserve to go up on the pitch - that's all that it should be about. His mate who goes to the games with him agreed with him. Ironic thing is he's a Carlisle fan who has a season ticket at Everton.
I disagree (assuming we don't do anything daft like selling five first teamers in the summer) We've got a solid system in place, the squad is strong and we are well equipped to absorb a couple of losses with others coming in to replace the departed players from inside or outside the club. Brentford have been challenging year upon year, despite letting key players leave every close season.
I would like to see us promoted for several reasons, here's a few: 1. That's what football is about, to get as high up the pyramid as possible 2. Wouldn't it be great to show all the teams who've spent **** loads, that you can do get promoted the "traditional" way 3. Be great to see the best teams in England down at Barnsley 4. The players deserve it 5. Valerien Ismael deserves it 6. The people who've worked tirelessly during the last 12 months deserve it 7. The fans deserve it
