Ref totally lost control, he's allowed their behaviour. Basically I'd been appealing the red, cos it wasn't a 2 footer and to mitigate I'd point out the ref lost control and pretty much allowed the escalation.
I'd have had to nut his face off if I was playing, or at least give a leading elbow. Complete shithouse.
I don't think we can complain about the ref. We got given a very weak penalty, Mowatt could have stayed on his feet to make a challenge and he seemed to miss Sibbick throwing someone to the ground to react. We get plenty of **** refs to complain about, but not so much tonight.
Agree with this the tackle on Sibbick was out of control and no intention to play the ball, which is a definite red.
He’s not the greatest isn’t Mr Bond but I thought he had some tough calls tonight. The fact that even we,as supporters, are all over the place on the big decisions seems to support that. I’d like to have seen him booking the first player who got in his face. I hate that and Wycombe are one of the teams who obviously practice it as their principle ‘tactic’.
