You think the vast majority of people supported Meghan Markle? They really didn't. There are loads of people on social media blaming women for anything that happens to them. If you've been on any social media over the last few days you must have seen it. Clearly the "back to the kitchen" was hyperbole. I thought that was obvious. There are many people with very similar sentiment though.
"What on earth was she doing walking on her own after dark. Isn't there a lockdown too? She shouldn't have even been out". I'd say that's a fair spot of victim blaming that's doing the rounds S.T.

The post was titled "This week in the UK". Victim blaming has happened in "the UK" this week. So yes, it's factually correct. But just because you haven't seen them doesn't mean that they don't exist.
No, someone is just a bit pissed off that it's considered ok to blatantly make up lies and try to paint everyone as evil. Do you actually believe that barnsleyreds post is accurate? If we’re talking about blatantly making up lies I never said or even implied that it was the majority of people in the UK.
As it was explained to me by a woman this week. If I was to say to you I do not like fruit then the implication is that I do not like fruit. If I then say oh but I do like apples, bananas, pears, oranges, grapes, strawberries, peaches, kiwi fruits and cherries but I don't like pineapple you would look at me like I was a bit thick because even though I didn't say it I implied I didn't like all fruit. When you say this week in the UK and list things with generalisation you imply the majority. You didn't mean this week In the UK, you meant this week a tiny tiny percentage of people in the UK

The saddest thing about Meghan markle is that I reckon if it wasn't constantly pointed out to us by the media I bet most wouldn't have noticed her skin colour. She's American, I'd just assume she's naturally more tanned
I really don't think it does imply the majority at all. When the Millwall fans attacked Barnsley fans at Wembley, it was widely reported (rightly) that "Millwall fans attack Barnsley fans" - That doesn't imply that it was the majority, it clearly wasn't. If there's a pitch invasion at Oakwell, it's correct to say that "Barnsley fans ran onto the pitch" without meaning that the majority did.
But if you weren't implying large numbers and the general consensus then what was the point in the post in the first place? If you meant a small small number of idiots then what was the point?
