I think the last time this happened to us, was in 1993. We lost 5 home league games on the trot between September 25 to November 20, to Leicester (0-1), Charlton (0-1), Southend (1-3), Grimsby (1-2) and Crystal Palace (1-3). A certain Neil Redfearn played in all those games with Danny Wilson & Viv Anderson playing in all but one. This was the first season with Viv Anderson as player/manager and DW as coach. We won only one of our first 10 home games that season and stayed up with a late rally.
Make that an unwanted six in a row. Lost 0-1 to Fulham at Anfield this afternoon. Still feel it's a bit rich for some calling for Klopp to go.
VERY fickle a lot of fans and after winning the Premiership for first time and 18 points clear this season as seen an unbelievable turnaround.
Had it on in the background here....it seemed to be all Fulham, especially first half. Liverpool an absolute shadow of last year’s side.
Big Val is available for a phone call if Klopp needs some tips on successfully executing the high press. £10m consultancy fee.
I know they've had injuries galore but I genuinely believe that playing in empty grounds has had a lot to do with it. The slump started as soon as fans were excluded and an empty Anfield holds no fears for anyone.
One for the stattos.....what's the lowest a club have finished the year after winning...... a) The Prem. b) Old Division One
Leicester finished in 12th the season after winning the Prem... Sure somebody was relegated after being Champions in the old Division one, but don't know who.
Absolutely great what has happened. Didn't get to have their open top bus and by the time they do get to celebrate they will very likely have missed out on CL qualification. Couldn't happen to a more deserving set of fans.
