You do have a good point there, however, Sky have been doing that for decades on all their paid channels.
They have - and, for that reason, they've not ever had a penny from me. As soon as we are back in the stadium, my subscription will lapse. I am only paying for it because there is no other choice. My season ticket is a Barnsley one (in my mind) and not an iFollow one.
According to the iFollow survey, Barnsley get all of the money that subscribers pay to iFollow. It follows that iFollow must be funded by the advertising.
This season, watching home league games and listening to away and cup games. Previous few seasons, watching home games live (incl. cup) and listening to away games. My dad is still listening to every game as supporting my mam and himself on little more than minimum wage (thanks Tories for stopping my mam's disability benefits and putting back her pension you tw*ts) means that a tenner a match isn't doable. I tend to buy him iFollow for the year on his birthday as I can afford to get him that but not a season ticket (and he works shifts so wouldn't be able to get to quite a few matches even if I could afford it anyway and it wouldn't cover away matches). He used to go to the pub to watch Sky games (just with a pop as he doesn't really drink) but he hasn't been able to do that this season obviously.
They are before the match (just as Matt was announcing the line ups today), at half time and at full time.
Must agree to a point. When I log in I Generally catch em taking the knee. Over to sky sports news half time. Back for second half. End of game back to final score. Don’t see the issue .
I don't really have a counter-argument to that, then, as much as I would like to offer one. I still don't like the adverts, but I at least can now understand why they are necessary.
Thats why I do not see them, I set it off at about 2 mins before kick off , make tea at half time & switch over at full time , I basically just watch the match which gives me no issues .
Same for me - they talk about the match at the time analysis it as the game progresses. One of the reasons I haven't watched Motd in years - far more analysis than actual game footage.
