    Really? Root one of the best captains in recent memory. Blaming him for this series is pretty silly.

    We’re still in with a chance of tying this series, as unlikely as that looks right now. That would be an incredible result away in India on these pitches. One that nobody really thought had a chance of happening before it started.

    He has to upset a few then and drop some players. We have two home series this summer to get a new team together for the Ashes.

    Root's captaincy has improved a lot over the years to be fair, bad bowling selections after tea, but nothing near anything that would warrant calling for a new captain. I do think the selectors have got themselves in a state of confusion with the rotations though.
