... and two have been mentioned on this board today .... 1 ) Playoffs = promotion (I know lot of this is tongue in cheek, but still people seem to believe it. 2) The club has rich owners thus the club must be rich. 3) Legitimate expenses are a bad thing. oh and the league tables on the BBC automatically going to the Premier League* and not scrolling down to other leagues like the fixtures/results page do. Won't be a problem next season though (joke).
I think the BBC's exclusive focus on the PL really pees me off. I can remember back in the dim and distant era before the greed league started when Match of the Day often showed matches from outside the 1st division. Now they only ever show non-PL teams in the FA Cup. They seem to be oblivious to the EFL.
I'm positive the BBC tables site used to have a little arrow so you could easily navigate from one league to the other by clicking to go to the next one down or up rather than having to type the name of the league at the top. As somebody who likes to keep an eye on the whole EFL, as well as non-league, I really miss it!
I think they haven't realised it's not Ceefax any more and you can scroll down forever on a phone. Why you have to fanny about to get all the latest scores instead of just the Premier is annoying to say the least.
They don’t have the rights to show EFL action. There is a feature on an EFL or non-league club on Football Focus most weeks.
No, TV rights come and go. They've had highlights rights in the past (local TV versions, then the Football League Show) and even a few live matches a few years back. At the moment, no rights at all, so any EFL features rely on training footage and possible FA Cup action if a team has been involved.
