This week I have been involved in running Botanical University Challenge 2021.
Its an online quiz competition based on the TV format adapted for botany students.
We had 15 teams from Aberdeen to Eden, and Edge Hill to Cambridge.
In the final Manchester Met beat Cambridge.

Any road up, because I wrote most of the questions, I managed to sneak in lots of references to BFC.
Typically in rounds where you had to spot which name was not a real plant.
The answers included many former BFC players and a plant family called Tarnales.
Sadly Sorbus barnsleyensis got spotted before it was broadcast live on YouTube.
It was just a coincidence that captain of the Edinburgh team was another Reds fan

    Small pleasures. of a BFC-botanist.

What about one week having a BBS team making a guest appearance? It'll be like The Young Ones on University Challenge.

ok, but all the questions need to be about Ronnie Glavin, or who scored the goal in the 1912 FA Cup final :)
