Didn't weaken us one jot. In fact, we actually played much better after his withdrawal. Jordan Williams was absolutely immense. I'm resigned to losing Styles in the summer in order to keep the club financially viable. I don't like it as I think he's a future England player, but I suspect it will have to be done for the greater good. However, my point is that our squad now looks so strong that we look well placed to be able to absorb the loss of one or two key players every season. That's a huge sign of progression from where we were two years ago.

We have more than able replacements all over the park now. No-one weakens the team at all.

Was he injured? I missed the start of the second half so didn’t hear the reason why he’d gone off. He looked knackered towards the end of the first half, expected with all the games we’ve played recently.

Watched Valerian's interview on iFollow and he said he took him off to rest him rather than because of an injury.

His blood had been heavily watered down.

I absolutely love the lad to bits. Think he's been immense for us.

But I genuinely don't see a PL player. You could see it with Stones and I messaged my Everton mate when they signed him and said he'd play for England one day.

I hope Callum does as itd be in our interest contract wise but i really can't see it.

Great player .......... like I said love him but i loved Rammell.

He's only 6 months into a 3 year deal if I remember correctly so no reason we should be looking to sell him hopefully or why he should want to go. Quite capable of growing with this team for at least another season

Jordan Williams was very good last night but he’s not a leftie, cuts in on to his right. A very good square peg In a round hole for me. We’d have to replace Styles with someone ready to go on the left side.

Yep, he's fine. With Jordan now fit again, it allows one of the Callum's to breathe if necessary. Williams was our standout player before his injury, and he improved us once on last night.

    Depth.

I really don't want to see him sold, but we've not had very much income for the last year. The club can't run on fresh air, especially at the level we're now looking to reach.

To our advantage nobody is spending money as was seen in the Jan window.

But on the flip side obviously the millions would be good. Long contract is the winner .....

Apart from the money we got for Jacob Brown and Struber's buy out clause. I would have thought that these two pieces of business would amount to £3m ish.

Up to a few weeks ago Styles was the golden boy, in fact he was one of the few we were speaking of in glowing terms.
More recently with the new signings our fortunes seem to have improved throughout the team and he has become a very good player in a very good team.
If he is being rested then fine, I think we'll cope.
If he is sold later on we'll still be fine.
Until lately our problems were up front, now we are happy with how it has been sorted so it has taken that pressure off peoples minds that Styles is/was the be all and end all of the side. If he needs to be rested I think it would do good.

I think we're more likely to lose Mowatt in the summer, on a Bossman, and keep Styles as his replacement until next January or even June next year. Styles value will have increased by then.

Too right. I do not believe we would be as high as 10th with Struber still at the helm. VI has transformed us into winners.

This is the best season since 2015/6 and probably our best season in the second tier since 2000/01.
