Who out of these would as of now (not in there top form with us but as they are now ) would walk in to Vals 11 and who would they replace. Ive missed off Hourihane, Holgate, Stones and Davies as they would but which ex players still playing would get in. Taking in to consideration current form and Vals style of play, who drops out?

Folk on here were talking as though Collins wouldn't but look what's happened there. I don't see why Brown or Pinnock for example couldn't, by all accounts they trained hard and absorbed new ideas so why wouldn't they do well under Val?

I'm confused by what you're saying here Helen. I can't see any replies in this thread that say Brown or Pinnock wouldn't absorb any ideas. I thought the question is which active ex players would walk straight in to the team. For me it's Pinnock, Brown and possibly Moore. Tentative on the latter because he leads the line very well, suits a certain style, but don't think he suits our style and press.

I think Brown would be unreal in this system and other than money surely he'd be looking over wishing he was back.

Its about who you would drop out of the team for them to replace, would you drop Anderson for Pinnock and Brown for Morris Dike or Woodrow.

I thought about both of those as walking straight in to the team but not quite as simple now.

I think Moore would start some games but not others, depending on how much intensity VI had on the press. As it stands I think Brown would start most games, but if there are more performances like Sunday that’ll change. Wilks possibly as well, but not both him and brown.

Ritzmaier is still our player, so I guess we’ll find out what the coach thinks about him in the summer.

Pinnock would get in, probably for Andersen

Pinnock and Moore look the only two that would start for us from that list.

It’s far too early for us to make a judgement on Morris and Dike both have started one game where Morris played well and Dike was ok.

Do you actually think Wilkes could deliver on the heat maps and press that we've seen for Chelsea and Brentford recently?

Is that opinion being clouded because he had a howler on Sunday? Let's not pretend that Pinnock wouldn't walk straight back in to this team. He's a £15 million defender in waiting.

It is a little but i do think Anderson and Helic are excellent now and im not sure how much an improvement on them Pinnock would be.

Brown is starting for Stoke but dont think hes scoring many and thats what he was criticised for when here.

Pinnock would be a massive improvement he’s a 10-15 million quid defender from a top 2 side.

he is born for the system we play. Uber fit. Can run all day but more effective and creative than Chaplin or Frieser who do similar jobs.

    Dropping who

    Back 3 Pinnock Mawson ?
    Front 3 Brown Moore ?

Would they fit Vals way of playing better than our current players? possibly.

If I could have any of the ex players from the list back it would be Brown that I’d want. He’d turn in to a £10 million player playing on the right of this front three under Big Val.

Height, presence, pace, energy, assists ....... maybe goals. He’s exactly the kind of athlete we’ve been crying out for most of the season.
