Not harsh at all! He rarely justifies his place for me, either with bat or ball. Today might be a rare good day, or not.

I think we've gone backwards selecting Moeen. I'd rather he played 50 over and t20 cricket and we looked to the future in test match cricket.

I said yesterday we were behind in this, I don’t think anyone of them have played a rank bad shot and yet we are 6 down for 100.

it’s ragging sideways and ashwin just doesn’t bowl loose 4 balls let alone 1 an over like we do.

India will bat again I’d assume, it’s only day 2!

I think we just need to throw the bat at it now with the last few wickets. Its optimistic to think we can add 50 odd runs but no point playing defensive.

    This pitch is just ridiculous.

Shouldn’t be allowed for a day 2 Test pitch.

I don't think it was brainless - it's not like he played a daft shot. He just isn't good enough.

They'll probably bat for the rest of the day and tomorrow - we're under the pump big style.

None of what us left will have much chance prodding and poking. Might as well just go for it........oh oh there goes number 8

On twitter lots of India fans accusing England of moaning about the pitch, they are saying there is nothing wrong with how it's been prepared!! Comparing it to them (struggling) playing in England on a green top favouring our seamers!

Fair point. Joe wins the toss and I doubt anyone would be moaning!

I'm afraid Chris Silverwood carries the can for selecting Moeen, awful decision. Even Dom Bess seems to offer more with the bat. Shows how far Moeen's batting has declined. Is Bess still with the touring party?

Looks like that winning streak is coming to an end. Only day two and almost game over.

I’ll make a crazy prediction here. They blow us away for a few runs after tea, enforce the follow on and knock us over again before close of play. A two day defeat is sickeningly possible

So irrespective of whether or not England get to the follow on target i think India will bat again. Will be interesting to see how they get on second time round!

I think they will bat again. Wont want to run the risk of us putting a score on the board second time round and them having to bat last!
