Barmy idea, beside which how exactly will it make any difference to the problems introduced by Brexit? The Channel Tunnel doesn't make it unnecessary for customs checks so why would a NI tunnel make a difference? Another thing, the shortest route is from Stranraer (20 miles), by the time a tunnel was built (at least 5 years), Scotland might be independent so there'd be checks on the border at Gretna as well. We are governed by imbeciles.
