After I put fresh food out for them earlier. Meal worms are a special favourite with the blackbirds and robins. I take more pleasure from watching them all than any television programme.:D

On my way home from work yesterday I must have seen thirty Magpies in the trees on the railway embankment next to Monkhill station. I thought it was like a Hitchcock thriller.

I'm just appreciative that we're not suffering like some with the number of birds visiting their garden.
We have a particular blackbird that chases off any magpies or wood pigeons if they interrupt his feeding time!:D

Which birds of prey hover over farmers fields. I see one regular out of our kitchen window?

Kestrels are the most obvious ones.

Maybe it's down to temperatures effecting migrations.

That's great mate. I think it's to do with the fact that they're in your garden as a result of your efforts to put the food out. On the TV, well they're just on the TV :)

When we still had our dogs, it was wonderful watching them laid down outside, with the sparrows happily hopping round them. The dogs never bothered them.:D

Sable, our German Shepherd dog, was huge and could've squashed them without noticing. Yet the little birds were quite relaxed and happy to be in her company.

Inundated with Starlings at the Gilroyd end. Not my favourite bird.
