Take the caravan, stay at Proctors Stead site - about half a mile up the main road from Craster.

Quite a trek from Whitby. It's Northumbria, about 45 mins/an hour's drive from Newcastle.

The coastal walk from Whitby to Robins Hood Bay is beautiful. Always enjoyed a well earned fish supper and a pint after that. Also enjoyed walking around the Ravenglass area. The big hotel there looks gorgeous, always been a bit pricey when we've looked at stopping over though, pre covid.

That would be a separate trip for me then. Didn’t think it was close to Whitby, have explored that bit of the coast. Great walk down to Robin Hoods & a bus back. Did same to Staithes. When I had a younger dog..:)

Essentially what we did last summer; cinder track to RHB, a pint outside The Bay, then back to Whitby via the Cleveland Way. Probably the best day of the year.

I remember walking up the beach to Sands End, into a massive gale & freezing rain, literally leaning into it at 45 degrees to stop being blown backwards. Terrier loved it. It was early March..:) There she is, eyeing up the Abbey ducks.. 4DDA76C6-6B44-471B-87D9-831F5FDF24F7.jpeg
