    This is frustrating! There's not enough superlatives to describe Joe Root at the moment but someone else should have gone on to get a 100+. Feel like we're going to end 100 runs short of where we should be. Anything below 550 and I think India will be pleased but let's see how they bat first!

    Jesus they got Pope out :D I think that India will be happy with the way England have gone about it killing almost two days batting on a road instead of a few more playing like Stokes did to move things along. Draw is looking the most likely outcome now.

    Bess needs to play positive while Leach just needs to hang around.

    Archer came into test cricket with a reputation of being a decent batsman never mind a rapid bowler. He is definite number 11 material on the occasions i have seen him.bat for England.

    139 runs in 17 innings which includes a top score of 30.
