Nice to see the old photos and that not everything's changed. Think he enjoyed making that, going down memory lane full of pubs.

Great stuff, though he had a different Tarn circuit to me and my mates.
We always started downstairs in No7, then round to White Hart, Corner Pin, Industry, Shambles, Queens Hotel, then Shades and finished back in No7

Burger and onions from a cart in Peel Square on way home up Pitt Street

    -sigh-
    Edit:
I was a bit rubbish at history in school, so until I watched this I never realised that some streets are named after prime ministers or other historical high government officials, such as Pitt Street, Peel Street and Square, Wellington St, Grafton St, Eldon St, and Castlereagh Street.

Mind you, Wiki has no record of Sir Percival May-Day Green, nor Sir Tarquin Market-Hill so I’m not sure how they got their names

Crikey, the footage showing the band Levvytaggers, the guitarist on the left called him Tony Scott from Dodworth/Gilroyd area I think. I used to work with him at Houghton Main pit.

This was the earliest seventies... a cultured evening took in the No7, White Hart, Chennels, King George, maybe the Royal (a couple of roughies for a 'laff')... some buggers would do OT at Ba Ba or up to Monk Bretton.

serious dress-up nights went to Mecca in Wakefield (after Yates Wine Lodge)... maybe Tiffany's in Sheffield or the Cat's Whiskers in Leeds (or was that York?)... It was getting out of hand by '74... (we'd get a bus to celebrate any-bloody-thing)

Do I have any compadres, here?

With the significant difference being that when Dave comes on a significant number of the viewers don’t shout at the Telly - “oh **** off will you.”

The Stables night club. Rock venue Jeans and tee-shirts, biker jackets. The toilets were upstairs and when they got blocked, which they often did, well let’s just say it had it’s own water feature long before they became fashionable elsewhere. Some great memories in there late 70s and early 80s.
